Academic Profile [1]

Berlin/Dahl
With about 29,500 students, the TU Berlin is one of the largest
universities of technology in Germany. One of our most important tasks
is to educate our students to meet the challenges of a world
increasingly characterized by technology and progress. Our goal,
however, is not to simply impart knowledge in order to create
innovative ideas, but rather to give our students the ability to
recognize relevant societal and economic problems and then to analyze
and solve them.

Academic Reforms [5]
The TU Berlin has transformed its
entire syllabus (with very few exceptions) into a Bachelor/Master
degree system to coincide with the winter semester 2007/08. By now you
can choose from 90 different courses. Apart from an increased
flexibility for developing competitive skills, improved study success
and shorter study times are the main aims of the transformation. The
process is supported by numerous reform measures - for example by the
10-million-euro-program "Offensive Wissen durch Lernen".

Quality in academics & teaching [7]
A constant
improvement in teaching is indispensable for every university.
Numerous measures contribute to this strategic goal of the TU Berlin.
Examples are the "Quality assurance study programs", the teaching
