The TU Berlin maintains a dense international network, which represents a great advantage for TU students, teachers, researchers and graduates alike. Students profit directly from such intensive cooperation: tuition and other fees are often waved and university credits can be transferred, which gives our students the opportunity to gain valuable experience from a semester abroad, without having to prolong their period of study at the TU Berlin. We also provide support to TU instructors and professors who wish to teach abroad. International TU alumni return to their home countries and form their own networks there - so pack your bags and get ready to travel.
Student Exchanges
The TU Berlin cooperates with more than 200 institutions of higher education all over the world. Exchange programs have been developed in the context of these kinds of collaborative efforts that make it easy for TU students to study abroad. Please contact the International Office (Akademisches Auslandsamt) for all questions related to studying or obtaining a doctorate abroad; our Career Service Office is responsible for arranging internships in other countries.
TU Scientists
Persons interested in scientific exchange programs should contact our Foreign Relations Office (Aussenbeziehungen). They can help you to make contacts with institutions in other countries, they provide information about financial support in identifying suitable international projects and they offer a number of services that can help you to organize your own personal stay abroad.
International Alumni Associations of the TU Berlin
Through training and continuing education seminars, the International Alumni Program of the TU Berlin supports international students and alumni in their efforts to obtain career entry jobs. This world-wide network of TU alumni assists international students in starting their careers after returning to their home countries; this dedicated assistance is provided by members of the various TU alumni associations.
