Training and Education at the CTS

The CTS is active in organizing and running multidisciplinary seminars in the area of technology and society. Since the beginning of 1996, on the invitation of the President of the TU-Berlin, the CTS has been convening a working group on Transdisciplinary Studies. This working group is led by Prof. Dr. Steinmüller. Until February 2000 the group was co-ordinated by Dipl. Ing. Shahrooz Mohajeri. He was succeeded by Dipl. Inf. Susanne Teichmann.

A second task of the CTS is helping other departments and student commissions to develop strategies to integrate existing seminars into multidisciplinary study programmes without additional cost. Additionally the CTS offers multidisciplinary seminars of its own exploring different aspects of the theme technology and society.

A final aspect of the teaching competency of the Center is the supervision of theses. Numerous essays, honours theses and master's theses are co-ordinated through the center. Over 20 doctoral dissertations are underway at the CTS.
