Technische Universität Berlin maintains liaison offices at selected locations worldwide and is a member of two German Centres for Research and Innovation (DWIH), thus consolidating its position in the international scholarly community. Maintaining an international presence helps forge a bridge between the University and regions which are important from a political and economic perspective. The resulting networks are to be cultivated and developed on an ongoing basis, providing a strong basis for TU Berlin’s future presence in the international academic scene. Developing its international profile also serves make TU Berlin an attractive choice for both junior and well-established researchers from all over the world. The liaison offices in Brussels and Cairo and the memberships in the DWIH in New York and São Paulo help promote the internationalization of TU Berlin.
