Together we redefine learning – this is the motto of the Digital Education Hackathon (DigiEduHack) 2020. DigiEduHack is a series of online and offline ideation workshops taking place all around the world on 12 and 13 November, focusing on co-creating the future of education in the digital age.

DigiEduHack is an EIT initiative within the European Commission's Digital Education Action Plan, led by EIT Climate-KIC and coordinated by Aalto University in Finland. Together with the German Ministry of Education and Research, the German Academic Exchange Service and Hochschulforum Digitalisierung, TU Berlin is organizing this year’s main stage event of the series at the EUREF Campus in Berlin.

TU Berlin is, of course, part of the global movement as well and will be hosting a local hackathon. Under the title “Building Bridges – Digital, International & Sustainable”, participants are called upon to contribute their ideas on the current challenge of digitalization in education. TU Berlin has devised the following challenge:

“We envision a sustainable future for higher education and international cooperation in Berlin. Help us achieve this by joining our hackathon and finding innovative ways to use digital education tools to support teaching and learning in an international science community. Let us make the future more accessible, inclusive and sustainable – without losing our international focus, mobility and personal connections.”

The best ideas have the chance to be awarded up to EUR 5,000 in the global competition.

Further information and registration can be found on the event’s website: “Building Bridges – Digital, International & Sustainable“

The Hackathon is supported by EIT Climate-KIC.
