Call for SPRINT 2018

Lupe

FAPESP anounces a new call for the SPRINT programm (São Paulo Researchers in International Collaboration).

Research funding

Funding for research in Brazil is primarily linked to funds provided by federal or state budgets. There are, however, smaller programs operated by individual universities, various foundations, endowment funds or private investor initiatives, providing funding for research. Among the most important contact partners for research funding in Brazil on a state level are the FAPs. These are foundations for the funding of research with their own budgets provided by state funds. The foundations with the greatest finances are those for the federal states of São Paulo (FAPESP), Rio de Janeiro (FAPERJ) and Minas Gerais (FAPEMIG). DWIH-SP provides a good overview on its website of these and other contacts.

The German Research Foundation (DFG) also maintains an office in São Paulo and can, upon request, provide project-specific advice concerning possible cooperation and funding partners.

Information concerning current calls for proposals are provided on this site. The following tables provide information concerning funding possibilities for, on the one hand, German researchers looking to undertake a project in Brazil, and on the other, Brazilian researchers wishing to participate in a project in Germany.

The list of programs provided here is not intended to be exhaustive but rather provide a first overview of existing funding possibilities. Please contact us for information about organizations not listed here.
