International profile of Faculty III

The international profile of Faculty III distinguishes itself due to three key aspects:

• Support of the strategic partnerships of TU Berlin
• Appointment of foreign professors   
• Internationalization of degree programs

Within the strategic partnerships of TU Berlin, the faculty works together with the following universities:

• Technical University of Warsaw
• Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim
• Technical University of Vienna
• Politecnico di Milano

 In addition, we have research cooperation amongst others with:

• Hokkaido University in Sapporo (Japan)
• East China University of Science and Technology (Shanghai)
• University of Edinburgh
• Universidade Federal da Bahia in Salvador
• Danmarks Tekniske Universitet Copenhagen
• Carnegie Mellon University Pittsburgh
• And partner universities in Medellin (Colombia) and Kuantan (Malaysia)

 Because of our worldwide network, students of Faculty III can be part of international exchange programs:

• 105 Erasmus cooperation with more than 80 partner universities in over 20 countries
• Numerous overseas exchange programs with partner institutions in New Zealand, USA, Canada, India, South Korea, Japan, China, Chile, Peru and Ecuador

 Internationally organized degree programs:

• Double-degree programs with universities in France, China and South Korea
• Involvement in the advanced master’s programs „Energy Engineering“, „Urban Development“ and „Water Engineering“ on the TU-Campus El Gouna in Egypt
• Part of the English speaking study program "Polymer Science" (joint study program of TU, FU, HU and University of Potsdam)
• International master’s program "Process Energy and Environmental Systems Engineering (PEESE)"
