Evaluation of courses

Courses are evaluated in order to maintain and further improve the quality of teaching at the TU Berlin. The evaluation of courses is a standardized, simple and comparative procedure. The TUB has established a general evaluation charter that regulates all possible forms of evaluation, including student surveys as part of the evaluation.
The evaluation of courses means that students are involved in the quality assurance of teaching by completing questionnaires. The constructive criticism and praise expressed by students offer points of reference for lecturers to assess their own courses.
The Department for Learning and Teaching and the Education Commission have developed a concept for future evaluation at Faculty III based on project findings, which takes staff resources into account. This was decided by the Academic Board in May 2013: Concept for evaluations at Faculty III (PDF, 71.3 KB) .
