Working Group Diversity

The Diversity Working Group was founded in 2018 with the aim of creating a network for the different stakeholders at the university who are active in the field of diversity and to enable an exchange of expertise and practical experience from the various TU departments.

Since then, it has been meeting regularly every two to three months to explore the challenge and relevance of diversity-sensitive and discrimination-critical university development and to take steps in this direction.

Task Fields

The main task of the AG is the (further) development and accompanying consulting in the implementation of the diversity strategy.

In addition, current issues in the field of diversity & anti-discrimination at the TU Berlin are discussed, e.g:

  •     Participation & Inclusion
  •     AGG Complaints Procedure
  •     Focus topic gender diversity
  •     Dealing with legal incidents/discrimination in teaching
  •     Dealing with corona and corona-related discrimination risks/incidents
  •     Innovations through the LADG
  •     Development of anti-discrimination measures at the TUB

If you have a concern that you would like to bring into the AG, please feel free to contact us at any time! Our work thrives on diverse perspectives!

Members of the Working Group

The Working Group is currently composed of the following stakeholders & institutions:

We are aware that the majority of the perspectives represented are thus white, German, able-bodied and with an academic background, even though we try to make more marginalized positions/voices of more vulnerable groups of people visible at the TU Berlin and explicitly think along with them.

In order to achieve an even more diverse composition of the working group, as well as the variety of topics and intersectional view on those (there are certainly still many gaps that we do not even see from our privileged social position), we would be pleased if you would like to get in touch with us. Please let us know how we can create a safer space for you, so that your concerns can be heard!
