Appointment planning
- Recruitment of scholars begins with proactive and foresighted planning.
- In pilot projects to redesign the appointment strategy, conducted under the direction of the vice president for research, appointment strategy, knowledge & technology transfer, active recruitment is to be integrated as a permanent component.
- Strategic objectives aimed at attracting the best minds can include the following:
- Structural design of the position, giving consideration to the demographics to be attracted (e.g. industry, junior scholars, ...)
- (Re) focusing and defining the professorship, giving consideration to current trends and the junior scholars at present
- (Planning) measures for the targeted screening of the applicant field and to spread awareness of TU Berlin among the desired audience
