Three Clusters of Excellence for TU Berlin
In the Excellence Strategy research competition run by the German federal and state governments, three Clusters of Excellence of Technische Universität Berlin are to receive funding. Starting in 2019, the three interdisciplinary research projects, “Unifying Systems in Catalysis”, “MATH+”, and “Science of Intelligence”, will be funded for seven years with up to ten million euros each per annum. After the first seven years, with a renewal proposal, it may be possible to extend the funding a further seven years. TU Berlin had submitted four proposals in total.
In total seven Clusters of Excellence for Berlin
In addition to the three Clusters of Excellence of the TU Berlin, four Clusters of Excellence from Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin have been successful. These excellent results fulfill the prerequisite for the planned collaborative proposal by the four institutions in the Excellence Strategy.
Matters of Activity: Image Space Material
