Guiding Principles of the Zentrum Technik und Gesellschaft at Technische Universität Berlin

The Zentrum Technik und Gesellschaft (ZTG) is a central research facility at Technische Universität Berlin (also referred to as „Center for Technology and Society” (CTS) in earlier publications). It was founded in 1995 with the mission to incorporate thinking about socially relevant issues in the early stages of the development and design of new technologies at TU Berlin. These guiding principles enable us to characterize our content-related tasks and objectives, as well as the type of research to be prioritized at the ZTG, the methodological approaches to be used and the ZTG’s structure and way of working.
