Dr. Amr Ah. Gouda
Amr Ah. Gouda acquired his Bachelor’s (in 2003) and Master’s (in 2010) degrees in Architecture from Ain Shams University (ASU) in Cairo, Egypt. He is a LEED Accredited Professional for Neighborhood Development (LEED AP ND) since 2015 and an Autodesk Certified Professional for Revit Architecture since 2017. In 2018, he acquired his PhD from Faculty IV Planning Building Environment at Technische Universität Berlin (TU Berlin). His PhD research handled the assessment of sustainability on neighborhood level using certification systems with a focus on mobility and urban form.
Since his graduation in 2003, he has been working as a Teaching Assistant at ASU. He worked with the ‘Egyptian Ministry of Housing’ on developing urban and rural areas in different Governorates. He co-supervised the Master’s thesis of a number of students in the program of Urban Management at TU Berlin. Since 2013, Amr has been working at Zentrum Technik und Gesellschaft (ZTG) as a scientific researcher and he is interested in topics related to sustainability assessment, resilience, land use, urban form, and mobility.
