Aidana Zhalgas
Aidana Zhalgas was born in 1993 in Kyzylorda, Kazakhstan. She received “Altyn belgi” award (Gold Medal) for completing the Republican Specialized Physics and Mathematics Boarding School for gifted children named after O.Zhautykov in 2011. She obtained her Bachelor Degree in Mathematics at Nazarbayev University, Astana, Kazakhstan. She defended her thesis “Modeling of corneal deformation under air-puff by nonlinear differential equations” under the supervision of Chair and Professor Dongming Wei. She obtained her Master’s in Science in Mechanical Engineering at Nazarbayev University, under the supervision of Associate Professor Luis Rojas defended thesis named “Optimization of CFD Model of Chamber Filling in a Micro-Biosensor for Tuberculosis Detection”. From 2015 to present, Ms. Zhalgas was working as a Research Assistant on the projects related to biomechanical engineering. Also, her area of interest includes development of environmentally friendly and socially optimal transportation systems in urban environment.
Aidana Zhalgas worked as a guest researcher at the ZTG as part of the SUMRICA project.
