Dr. Sabine Hielscher
Im Zentrum meiner Forschung steht die Bedeutung von Objekten und Technologien im täglichen und politischen Leben. Ich bin seit Mai 2015 als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin beim Zentrum Technik und Gesellschaft an der TU Berlin tätig. Meine Arbeit beschäftigt sich in erster Linie mit zivilgesellschaftlichen Gruppen z.B. Energiegemeinschaften, Repair Cafés und Offene Werkstätten. Die Erforschung dieser Gruppen ist eines meiner drei Forschungsthemen im Laufe der letzten Jahre. Diese Themen sind: 1) Praktiken, Narrative und Materialisierungen hinter zivilgesellschaftlichen Aktivitäten, 2) Dynamik alltäglicher (nachhaltiger) Konsummusters und „material culture and everyday life“ und 3) Zukunftsvorstellungen und „sociotechnical Imaginaries“ hinter "intelligenten" soziotechnischen Entwicklungen wie dem „Smart Grid“. Ich teile meine Zeit zwischen dem Zentrum Technik und Gesellschaft (ZTG) und SPRU, University Sussex in Brighton, Großbritannien.
