Prof. Dr.-Ing. Houshmand Masoumi
Prof. Dr. Houshmand Masoumi ist Forschungsprojektleiter und Senior Researcher am Zentrum Technik und Gesellschaft (ZTG) an der Technischen Universität Berlin und Associate Professor an der University of Johannesburg, Südafrika. Er hat in Stadtplanung promoviert und verfügt über mehrjährige Berufserfahrung im Bauwesen in der Industrie und im Managementbereich. Sein Interesse gilt dem Zusammenspiel von Stadtplanung und Stadtverkehr in verschiedenen Regionen der Welt mit einem starken Fokus auf Entwicklungs- und Schwellenländer. Aus methodischer Sicht ist neben der deskriptiven Konzeptualisierung räumlicher Muster mit dem Ziel numerischer und statistische Analyse sowie Modellierung einschließlich, welche sich jedoch nicht auf Discrete Choice Modeling beschränken, von besonderem Interesse für ihn. Die thematischen Inhalte seiner Studien umfassen Folgendes:
- Urbane Reiseverhaltensforschung
- Interaktionen zwischen städtischer Landnutzung und Verkehr und Modellierung
- Menschliche Wahrnehmungen
- Lebensstile und Präferenzen bezüglich Mobilität Wohnstandortentscheidungen
- Zersiedelung und Transformationen
Studenten oder potentielle Doktoranden, die an einer Betreuung ihrer Dissertation interessiert sind, können sich direkt mit ihm in Verbindung setzen, um eine Beteiligung an den entsprechenden Aktivitäten zu erwägen.
Forschungsinteressen:
- Landnutzungs-/Verkehrsinteraktionen und Modellierung;
- Statistische Analyse des städtischen Reiseverhaltens;
- Nachhaltige Transportkonzepte; Begehbarkeit;
- Zersiedelung der Landschaft;
- Die Beziehungen zwischen der bebauten Umwelt (einschließlich Zersiedelung), Sozioökonomie, Einstellungen und Wahrnehmungen mit dem städtischen Reiseverhalten;
- Primärdatenerhebung zu städtischen Fahrten;
- Statistische Modellierung, insbesondere Discrete Choice Modeling.
