Internship in mobility research

Tasks and Responsibilities

Participation in research acquisition and research work in the area. These include following activities:

• Research and literature procurement on selected topics in traffic planning
• Carrying out systematic literature searches and background analyses
• Participation in the creation of mobility concepts
• Creation of presentations and texts, as well as data acquisition and evaluation
• EDP processing of documents, layout tasks, maintenance of databases
• Research on funding possibilities and preparation of funding applications
• Attending conferences or similar events if interested

The work will be done on one or more of the current research topics. These include:

• Sustainable transport planning in emerging countries
• social and spatial aspects of mobility
• Designing sustainable urban mobility
• E-mobility and smart mobility
• Commercial Transport
• Barrier-free mobility

Requirements

Special interest in topics related to transportation, urban and regional planning and urban geography. The candidate is expected to have a sense of responsibility and an independent and structured way of working. Basic knowledge of traffic planning, ArcGIS and good general IT skills is an advantage. We offer you a chance to work with an international and interdisciplinary team. Since work communication takes place predominantly in English, good English skills are required. Additional knowledge of foreign languages is beneficial.

Working hours can be individually extended within the semester, so that courses can be attended.

We offer you the opportunity to get involved in exciting projects and gain an insight into scientific work in a university context, as well as to expand your knowledge in various areas of mobility and acceptance research. We offer a pleasant, collegial working environment, as well as a workplace at the TU Berlin. In addition, topics for your own research activities (bachelor's or master's thesis) can be found. During the semester, the working hours can be individually stretched so that it is possible to attend courses.
